Preparation for print
Alongside the traditional printing methods such as lithography, montage, reprography and plate copying, KERN Global Language Services also works with data transfer or the computer to plate technique In contrast to the traditional film exposure technique, the CTP technique saves you montage and film costs. At the same time, this creates smaller grid points, enabling higher-quality printing results compared with traditional procedures. We will of course prepare the text and image data using high-resolution scanning, development and exposure facilities and we are able to produce glossy print pages.
Printing methods
Roller offset: For larger batches
Consistent print quality and a high level of color coverage characterize roller offset. Another advantage of roller offset printing is that is also enables printing on all materials, including non-absorbent materials. For large orders we use an offset printing method, with which we can produce 5/5-color printed products. This is also a good method for documents which have complicated post-printing folding.
Sheet offset: For smaller and medium-sized batches
The advantages of sheet offset are color intensity, perfect fit, brilliance and consistent quality. Sheet-fed offset printing is also advantageous for small orders, heavier paper and for particular types of folding. The KERN team is happy to answer any questions you may have regarding sheet-fed offset printing.
Digital printing: For small batches up to approx. 500 pieces
In digital printing, the image to be printed is transferred directly from the computer into the printer, differently from offset printing. This means that no physical master needs to be created. As there is no use of film, fixing baths and aluminum plates, digital printing is not only environmentally friendly, but also enables us to process your order more quickly. There are often just 48 hours between placing the printing order and the job being finished. Digital printing is suitable for single or multi-colored mini runs, e.g. leaflets, business cards, posters or guide books, for up to around 500 copies.
Depending on your requirements, we can offer silk screen, inkjet, or laser printing and we will automatically calculate the most cost-effective option for you as part of the process.
